Melee Stages!

Check it out, people. Remember this?

How about now?

This is the Hyrule Temple stage from Melee. It has returned!
Sakurai wanted more stages to be in the game, so they're bringing some back. Hyrule Temple is one of them. It's an almost exact replica.

Events Mode

The singleplayer Events mode in Brawl is similar to the one in Melee.

In this mode there are many events, each pitting the player against different enemies in different situations. There are three difficulty settings.

Like I said before, the situations are different for each level. Here it's Mario vs Bowser and King Dedede teamed up.

Here, as Meta Knight, you must knock Kirby off the stage before the platform lands on the Halberd.

Now you must destroy all the terrain on skyworld.

Use Yoshi's Egg Lay move to trap both enemies inside eggs, simultaneously.

Link must battle his shadow in a stamina match.

High scores are recorded, so you can compete for the best difficulty and time.

Wario's Final Smash

Grabbing a Smash Ball turns Wario into Wario-Man. Wario-Man isn't all that much more powerful than the original, but he can pull off some new moves that could very well turn the tide in a battle.

Take, for instance, this "sideways-sliding shoulder tackle."

And this air move that allows Wario to float.

However, one thing you must remember, is never, ever, use Wario-Man's bike. Why? Well, let's just say it has speed issues.

Widescreen Support

Brawl features widescreen support. If you have a widescreen television then you can go to Options and change the display from normal to widescreen.

There are two choices: 4:3 and 16:9. It's simple, though, just choose the picture that's shaped like your TV.

Also, for both options, the KO border surrounding the stage is the same.

Control Configuration

More details have been released concerning Smash Bros Brawl's control configuration feature. The default controls for all four control options can be changed, and assigned to a name.

Lucas' Final Smash

The move is called PK Star Storm. When using Lucas, this move can be activated, of course, after grabbing a Smash Ball. The Star Storm then begins. The storm intensifies over time. It would appear that it is at it's most advantageous for small stages.

Charge Moves

Sakurai shows off some of the Charged Special Moves that are going the be in the game. Those that have played Melee have seen these before, only they look kinda cooler this time around.

Assist Trophy: Saki Amamiya

Saki Amamiya is from, Sin and Punishment: Successor to the Earth. His weapon, the Cannon Sword, as the name suggests, allows him to both slice at and fire upon enemies.

Color Changes, Dark Link!

Sakurai recently announced some color changes that can be made to the characters' costumes. There are around six costumes per character. Color changes include Samus' Fusion Suit, Dark Fox, and Yeti DK, to name a few. Also, we see Dark Link up close for the first time.

Ike's Final Smash announced

Ike's Final Smash is Great Aether, a far more destructive version of his up-special Aether move. After grabbing a Smash ball, you strike an opponent. Ike then leaps upward and plummets, damaging everything his sword makes contact with until he hits ground, at which a fiery explosion occurs in front of him.
